So we had a pretty casual moving experience – it involved ballgowns, lobster dinner parties, and Ele rocketing down the Long Island Expressway in a rented U-Haul on approximately 4 hours of sleep.
Last Saturday we woke up bright and early to drive out to Shelter Island – which was a miracle, considering the night we had in the ‘burg on Friday. Ele’s Aunt and Uncle have a house on the Island, and kindly let us store some furniture in their basement. We brought some buddies along, lounged by the pool all day, and then made our last (summer) supper – lobster, sweet corn, grilled asparagus, salad, and a pitcher of Hurricanes. The next morning we found some of Ele’s old recital gowns….turns out they make excellent moving attire!
