Halloween in NOLA

Happy halloween! Hope everyone had a very spooky weekend…we sure did. Some of our friends from NYC came into town, and we took New Orleans by storm. On Thursday we watched the Saints beat the Panthers at The Rusty Nail, then headed to a costume party in the lower Garden District, and finally channeled our inner college kid at F & M’s on Tchoupitoulas St. On Friday we made it to City Park for Voodoo Fest, where we caught Rebirth Brass Band and Outkast in concert, then went to the legendary MoM’s ball (organized by the Mystic Krewe of Orphan’s and Misfits – more on that later. NOLA is wild.), and ended up at Maison on Frenchman Street. We were getting a lot of love for our Soul Train costumes. Saturday night we caught The Revivalists playing a Who-heavy set at Tipitina’s, and ended the night with DJ Soul Sister at the Hi-Ho Lounge. It might sound crazy – that’s probably because it was. But there’s so much live music to see, and so little time!
